Community Events
In the Mar Vista neighborhood, the CHAT faculty have been participating in various community activities to demonstrate our partnership and commitment to this population.
Examples of activities in the past year include:
- Career Day at Stoner Avenue Elementary
- Literacy Fair sponsored by Mar Vista Family Center and Mar Vista Gardens
- Health Fair sponsored by Stoner Avenue Elementary and LA Care
- Dedication of new facility at Westside Children’s Center
- Monthly meetings of the Westside Health Coalition
- Periodic meetings of SPA-4 and SPA-5
- Periodic meetings of the Growing Up Healthy Collaborative
