A Statement of Resident Duty Hours
The Schedule
UCLA Med-Peds Residents rotate through Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
in 3 month blocks. The exception is the first month of intern year,
when residents start in either Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and then
switch the following month. This way, our residents have had exposure
to both disciplines by their second month, which eases transitions
during the year.
Vacation is scheduled 4 weeks per year split into 2 week blocks.
